This course will provide you with a set of skills and a new sense of empowerment that will allow you to better recognize grief and navigate the conflicting feelings that may arise with such.

This session will aim to focus on the following subjects:

  • Define grief and recognize the 40+ types of losses that could contribute to it
  • Challenge the common myths surrounding grief
  • Recognize the signs of grieving in children and how they may differ from adults
  • Recognize your own history with grief and how this may influence how you respond to others
  • Learn actionable steps that can be used to help navigate grief
  • Be introduced to the idea of posttraumatic growth and meaning making
